Peter H. Grossman, MD: President
Peter H. Grossman, MD, F.A.C.S., is a graduate of Northwestern University and the Chicago Medical School. He performed
his general surgery residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency
at the University of Missouri, and had fellowships in breast reconstructive surgery and aesthetic and endoscopic surgery at
the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Following his return to Los Angeles in 1995, Dr. Grossman went into private practice,
and eventually joined the Grossman Medical Group, as well as the renowned Grossman Burn Centers. His reputation as one of
the nationís leading surgeons (per the Consumer Research Council) was confirmed when the U.S. State Department made him a
member of the Health Advisory Committee for the U.S.-Afghan Women's Council. Dr. Grossman's renown is further enhanced by
the many articles he has authored, the demand for his services on the lecture circuit, and the coverage heís received on
national television. His practice is focused primarily on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and the treatment of burn injuries.
John Diaz, MD: Vice-President/Treasurer
John Diaz, MD attended Cornell University and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. After medical school,
Dr. Diaz continued his training in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He then
underwent an additional year of specialized training in cosmetic surgery only. He is a published author on plastic surgery
and has received multiple awards for his work. Dr. Diaz has numerous television and magazine appearances as a plastic
surgery expert. He is a staff member at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, has a private practice in Beverly
Hills and serves as a member of the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgery.
Dennis Thompson, MD: Secretary
Dennis Thompson, MD, F.A.C.S., is a graduate of University of Illinois, and was a resident in general surgery at
the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and at the Los Angeles County Harbor General Hospital in Los Angeles, followed by a
residency in plastic surgery at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Thompson is board certified in general surgery by the American
Board of Surgery and in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition to the Los Angeles Society
of Plastic Surgeons, he is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society
of Plastic Surgeons.
Geoffrey R. Keyes, MD: Immediate Past President
Geoffrey R. Keyes, MD, F.A.C.S., in addition to his service as President/Treasurer of the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons,
is also Past President of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and Past President of the Aesthetic Society Education and Research
Foundation. He is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
Following his graduation from Chicago's Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, he entered his residencies in general surgery at
Cook County Hospital, plastic surgery at University of Illinois, and otolaryngology at University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Keyes is a
member of numerous societies and associations, including the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the
American Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Los Angeles County Medical Association, and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a recipient of the Clarence Monroe Award from the Chicago Society of Plastic Surgery. His highly
successful, Los Angeles-based practice spans more than two decades.
Dr. Keyes is also President- Elect of the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF).
Dr Geoffrey Keyes is one of approximately 80 surgeons who are members of The Rhinoplasty Society, a non-profit organization dedicated
to the open exchange of innovative ideas and techniques concerning rhinoplasty surgery. He currently serves as Treasurer of this organization.
The Rhinoplasty Society consists of surgeons throughout the world who specialize in rhinoplasty.

Harold D. Clavin, MD, FACS
A Los Angeles native, Harold D. Clavin, MD, F.A.C.S., attended Fairfax High School, received his undergraduate
degree from UCLA, and his doctorate from University of Southern California. Both his internship and residency in head
and neck surgery were at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, followed by two years in the Navy, where he served as
Chief Medical Officer on the USS Piedmont and as a surgeon at the Long Beach Naval Hospital. After two years of surgical
training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he was offered the rare opportunity to train in plastic and
reconstructive surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. In the ensuing years, Dr. Clavin was honored
as a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member
of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, California Society of Plastic
Surgeons, and Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons, where he served as president. He is perhaps best known for his
extensive experience with primary and revisional rhinoplasties (nose surgery). Dr. Clavin is known as a teacher, writer
and lecturer, and has been a guest on more than three-dozen television shows, including "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and "Good Morning America".
Though much of his practice is devoted to cosmetic surgery, he has done considerable work with burns, trauma and congenital defects.
Peter B. Fodor, MD
Peter B. Fodor, MD, F.A.C.S., recognized for his innovations in the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. He is certified
by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Born in Romania to Hungarian parents, he
escaped the oppressive communist regime for the United States, where he attended the University of Wisconsin Medical School.
Following his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Dr. Fodor did his general surgery and plastic surgery
residencies at Columbia/New York Presbyterian Hospital and a†plastic surgery residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital.
His extensive surgical training aided him in the development of the innovative techniques for which he is known, particularly
those involving minimally-invasive facial rejuvenation and body contouring surgery.
A widely-published author, he co-edited the journal Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, penned the textbook Endoscopically-Assisted
Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, and was the author and editor with 152 contributor plastic surgeons of the consumer book, Be Your Best:
A Comprehensive Guide to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr. Fodor†has been a member, an officer and, in some cases, a founder of
numerous plastic surgical and medical associations. He was President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the
Lipoplasty Society of North America, and the Semmelweis Scientific Society. After serving as Associate Clinical Professor of
Plastic Surgery at Columbia University, he assumed the same post in Los Angeles at UCLA. He is also a visiting professor and
surgeon at hospitals and colleges both inside and outside the U.S. Dr. Fodor's achievements have earned him an honorary professorship
at the Plastic Surgery Service of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. He has been ranked among the best in
his field by magazines such as W, Town & Country and Los Angeles.
Gary M. Tearston, MD
Gary M. Tearston, MD, F.A.C.S., serves as Secretary for the Los Angeles Society of Plastic Surgeons. He graduated
Summa Cum Laude from Stanford University, and with honors from the University of Pennsylvania. He performed his internship
and full general surgery residency at Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, and completed a plastic surgery Residency
at University of Illinois, Chicago, where he accumulated broad experience in facial reconstructive surgery. He is currently
an attending staff member at Cedar Sinai Medical Center, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American
Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha
honors societies, along with several other distinguished associations. Upon his graduation from University of Pennsylvania
Medical School, he received the Morris Ginsburg prize, awarded by the faculty to the graduate who best demonstrates the
qualities of the ideal physician. Dr. Tearston has been a plastic surgery proctor in Los Angeles since 1984.
